Be aware of licensed Content,

Many people release viral videos to content distribution and licensing companies so that they can get paid either one time fees or royalty . often this transfers the rights of the video over to the company so it is important to check videos that you intend to use publicly with or without monetisation or in any form of commercial project are not “owned” or managed by any of these types of companies or you could end up getting sued.

The tabs to follow list various viral video distribution and licensing companies, don’t use any video that they have listed without purchasing the correct license as if you do they may manually claim and or  strike your video which could cause big problems for your YouTube channel and in some cases they could aggressively pursue you so be aware not to use licensed viral videos.  On the other hand if you don’t mind paying for content in order to protect yourself then these are the sites to browse and if you have any videos that you own which you think could go viral you might very well be happy to sell the rights or gain license protection by contacting one of these sites.
